Jennifer Rako, a resident of Chatham, Massachusetts, is Counsel for Reynolds, Rappaport, Kaplan & Hackney, LLC. Her practice is exclusively focused in estate planning and administration. Ms. Rako joined the firm in 2005. Prior to moving her practice to the Cape and Island, Ms. Rako was a partner at Murtha, Cullina, a firm with offices in Connecticut and Massachusetts. A graduate of Northeastern University School of Law, Ms. Rako spent her early years of practice at the international firm of Kirkpatrick & Lockhart (now K&L Gates).
Ms. Rako has extensive experience preparing wills, various trusts, powers of attorney and health care proxies. She also advises clients with respect to family gift planning, planning for incapacity, charitable giving and prenuptial agreements. In addition to probating estate matters, Ms. Rako appears in probate court on petitions for conservatorships, guardianships and adoptions.
Community Involvement:
Ms. Rako helped create the Women's Early Detection Fund at Cape Cod Healthcare Foundation, which provides grants for diagnostic procedures not otherwise covered by insurance for women's cancers. Each year she partners with Cape Cod Academy's Pink Ribbon Club to host a dance marathon to raise money for the fund.
